Carlos Slim Helú’s lecture on the impact of new technologies on business and society on 11 June: a new Geneva Lecture Series edition

Carlos Slim Helú is scheduled to engage in an open debate with the Geneva public on 11 June, in the context of the next edition of the UNOG-UNITAR Geneva Lecture Series. Interested participants are invited to register online before 4 June!
This next edition of the UNOG-UNITAR Geneva Lecture Series, organized with the support of the International Telecommunication Union and the Series partners and featuring Carlos Slim, is entitled “How are new technologies impacting business and changing the world?” It will take place at the Palais des Nations, Human Rights and Alliance of Civilizations Room (Room XX) on 11 June, from 16.00 to 18.00. Mr. Carlos Slim’s lecture will be followed by an interactive debate with the public moderated by Darius Rochebin. The media partners of the initiative, Radio Télévision Suisse and Tribune de Genève, launch a call for questions on their respective websites. All those who would like to attend the debate and to have an opportunity to ask a question from the floor are invited to register online before 4 June. He is committed to the activities aimed at the promotion of technologies for development and is currently co-chairing the joint ITU-UNESCO Broadband Commission for Digital Development.
