Geneva, 12 May 2015 – Up to 90 per cent of the world’s electronic waste, worth nearly US $19 billion, is illegally traded or dumped each year, according to a report released today by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The first national communications satellite launched on 28 April

The first communications satellite of Turkmenistan Türkmen Älem 52°E was launched from the launch site at Cape Canaveral (Florida, USA). The Falcon 9 rocket transported the artificial body built at the request of our country by French Thales Alenia Space into orbit. A television space bridge between Ashgabat and the launch pad of SpaceX (USA) with the participation of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was organized on this occasion.
