The fame of our « heavenly » horses, which are the national pride of the Turkmen people, the etalon of beauty and grace, are famous worldwide for many centuries. It is now incomparably increase the prestige of Akhal-Teke horses due to the fact that the state pays close attention to the development of horse breeding and equestrian sports.
Taking into consideration global and wide interest to our wonderful horses in Independent Neutral Turkmenistan it was established the International Association of Akhal-Teke horse breeding. Over the past short period of time, many of Akhal-Teke horse breeding associations from around the world and private breeders have become its members.
Our initiative on the establishment of the International Association of Akhal-Teke horse breeding has received broad support among breeders and lovers of this unique breed in the entire world. Every year in April, on the threshold of the holiday of Turkmen racer, it is held a regular meeting of the International Association of Akhal-Teke horse breeding in our country. At the meeting it is made decisions related to further development of Akhal-Teke horse breeding and issues on mutually beneficial cooperation.
The meetings of the International Association of Akhal-Teke horse breeding attended numerous representatives from different countries. Every year a growing number of businesses and individuals from foreign countries and Turkmenistan are wishing to join the Association to become its member. Thus, it is a vivid evidence of the enormous popularity of our “heavenly” horses all around the world.
The main goal of the International Association of Akhal-Teke horse breeding is to consolidate efforts and coordinate the activities of Akhal-Teke horse lovers and professionals in this area in the context of further development of horse breeding, organization of various thematic meetings, scientific conferences and international exhibition-fairs, and the horse races.
The International Association of Akhal-Teke horse breeding issues magazine « Paradise of Akhal-Teke horses » in Turkmen, Russian and English which has a significant role in broad coverage stories of famous horses including events related to breeding of the Akhal-Teke in our country and abroad, the current work and achievements of local breeders.
In order to coordinate the activities of the Association, breeders, specialists and experts set up special website of the International Association of Akhal-Teke horse breeding, which has great assistance in collection of valuable information about the Akhal-Teke horses raised in different parts of the world.
In order to further development of the domestic horse breeding and equestrian sports it is implemented a large scale measures to ensure participation of Turkmen horses in international competitions held abroad. Breeders, experts, scholars in hippology and connoisseurs of this unique breed from all over the world come to our country to the historic homeland of Akhal-Teke horses. They will have opportunities to get acquainted with work of their colleagues, and see happy life of the Turkmen people.
At all times, Turkmen Akhal-Teke horse considered closest friend of a man, and is called his wings. Today, Turkmenistan achieved great progress in the development of horse breeding and equestrian sports. To make further progress, we pay special attention to highly qualified personnel training.
In addition, we build and bring into service modern equestrian sports complexes for high-level races, related events, training centers for preparation of highly qualified breeders, including comfortable houses in order to further improvement of social conditions of the workers.

I am sure that this international forum urged to play an important role in augmenting globally the fame of legendary racers, which will serve mutually adventurous experiences of specialists.
