This is the story of a bartender who had a dream—Thierry Maglione, the founder of the slippers Mamismo.

Sometimes in life you come across young people who have dreams, and do everything they can to put them into reality. Thierry had a dream about making nice, comfortable slippers, 100% made in France and recyclable. Thierry set up his company in 2011 and, although it may not have been easy, he has now issued his fourth collection and is eager to develop his business even further. Production is still quite small, so Thierry continues working in a restaurant but, in the end, this turned out to be a blessing. It was through his work in the restaurant that Thierry met the designer Patrick Marguerie (designer for Mageo) who agreed to help him by making his network available. One thing led to another, and Thierry met Caroline Claire-Baumel (Loly Apple) who assisted in the product development. The Paradise Talie exposes slippers in its store in Annecy and, slowly but surely, Mamismo slippers are to be found in shops in France and elsewhere.
The slippers are produced in the Cenyo workshop in Châtillon-en-Michaille (Ain, France) which employs former workers of Lejaby, and the raw material (leather) comes from Saint Etienne. So, if you do not know what to buy as a gift to a person who has “everything”, why do not try a set of personalized slippers from Thierry.
